UF REITZ UNION
The renovation of the Reitz Union Atrium encompassed enhancements across multiple levels of the prominent four-story gathering space. The project required the installation of four-story scaffolding to facilitate refinishing and painting of the elevator shaft walls, as well as the installation of new signage throughout the upper levels of the atrium.
Additional improvements included the placement of a decorative statue and pedestal, installation of new power distribution and conduit systems to support large illuminated signage on the third-floor walls and elevator shaft, and the application of a custom vinyl wall wrap extending across the entire third-floor soffit. Throughout construction, Decker Construction carefully coordinated all activities within the active campus environment to minimize disruption while maintaining safety and accessibility for students, faculty, and visitors.
This project reflects Decker Construction’s ability to successfully execute complex interior renovations in occupied facilities while delivering high-quality finishes and attention to detail.
